Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 22, 2026
By using settl.asia or paying through a Settl QR code, you agree to the terms below. Settl is currently running as a pilot with a small number of merchants.
About the Settl Service
Settl is a crypto-to-Rupiah conversion and settlement service, not a crypto payment system. Customers pay merchants using stablecoins (USDT/USDC); those funds are converted to Rupiah through a licensed conversion partner, and merchants receive clean Rupiah in their bank account, never crypto. Crypto isn't legal tender in Indonesia, and Settl doesn't position itself as a crypto payment provider.
Eligibility
This service is for users aged 18 or over who are authorized to use the crypto assets they hold. You're responsible for making sure your use of Settl complies with the law in your jurisdiction.
Payment Flow & Quote Validity
After you enter the Rupiah amount owed, we show you a quote, the equivalent crypto amount, valid for a limited window. If the quote expires before payment is sent, you'll need to request a fresh quote at the current rate.
Overpayment & Underpayment
Small overpayments are absorbed rather than refunded, since the cost of a refund can exceed the amount itself. Meaningful overpayments may be refunded to the sending address (minus network fees) or credited toward a future transaction. Underpayments are held as a "partial" transaction, and you'll be asked to send the difference within the original quote window.
Transactions Are Final
Crypto payments confirmed on the blockchain are final and cannot be reversed. Settl cannot undo a confirmed transaction caused by user error, such as entering the wrong amount or sending on an unsupported network.
Fees
Any applicable service fee is shown before you confirm payment. Merchants and our conversion partner may apply their own fees as agreed during onboarding.
Merchant Obligations
Merchants are responsible for providing accurate bank details, displaying the Settl QR correctly at their location, and communicating the correct Rupiah amount to customers. Settl isn't responsible for losses caused by a merchant's own miscommunication of the amount owed.
Limitation of Liability
Settl is in a pilot phase and is provided "as is." We're not liable for blockchain network delays, errors on the customer's own wallet side, or disruptions outside our reasonable control.
Suspension of Access
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user or merchant showing signs of fraud, legal violations, or a breach of these terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the pilot progresses. The latest version is always available on this page.
