Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Settl collects from customers and merchants, what we use it for, and who we share it with. Settl is a crypto-to-Rupiah conversion and settlement service for Indonesian merchants; this policy covers settl.asia and the customer, merchant, and admin apps within it.
What We Collect
We collect only what's needed to process payments and run this pilot:
- From customers: if you choose to register after a payment, your name, email, and profile photo from Google, or your email if you register with a one-time code. Guest payments, with no registration, don't require any of this.
- Transaction data: the Rupiah amount, the crypto asset and network chosen, the deposit address, payment status, and timestamps.
- From merchants: business name, the contact person's name and details, and bank account details for settlement.
- Basic technical data, like conversion-partner webhook logs, kept for reconciliation and audit purposes.
How We Use It
We use the data we collect to:
- Process your payment and convert it to Rupiah through a licensed conversion partner.
- Keep receipt and transaction history for registered customers, and speed up future payments.
- Settle and report funds to merchant bank accounts.
- Respond to support requests and resolve transaction issues.
- Prevent fraud and meet applicable record-keeping obligations.
We do not use customer registration data for marketing without your separate, explicit consent.
Sharing With Third Parties
We only share data as far as it's needed to run the service: with our licensed conversion partner (TransFi) to execute crypto-to-Rupiah conversion, with Google if you choose to register with a Google account, with Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage, and with the infrastructure providers (hosting, database) that keep this platform running. We never sell your data to anyone.
Data Security
Every connection to settl.asia is encrypted (HTTPS). Staff passwords and customer OTP codes are stored as hashes, never as plain text. Access to operational data is limited to Settl team members who need it to do their jobs.
Your Rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, or request deletion, as long as it doesn't conflict with applicable transaction record-keeping requirements. Reach us at hello@settl.asia for any of these.
Cookies
We use cookies essential to the site working, like your language preference and login session, as well as Google Analytics cookies to understand how the site is used in aggregate and anonymized form. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.
